You’re welcome to browse and shop for your own personal use. Please don’t misuse the site, interfere with how it runs, or use our content in ways these terms don’t allow.

Our candles are poured by hand in small batches with natural wax. Slight variations in color, texture, scent strength, and finish are part of that — they’re a sign of the handmade process, not a flaw. Product photos are as accurate as we can make them, but screens vary.

Prices are in US dollars and may change over time. Any applicable sales tax is shown at checkout. For orders shipped to Canada, import duties, customs fees, and taxes charged at the border are not included in our prices and are your responsibility as the recipient. Because we work in small batches, some scents sell out or pause between pours. We do our best to keep the store accurate, but we can correct errors in pricing or availability.

We sell and ship to addresses in the United States and Canada. Payment is collected at checkout through Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your card details. Placing an order is an offer to buy; the sale is complete when we email you an order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item is unavailable, there’s an obvious pricing error, or we suspect fraud — and if you’ve already paid, we’ll refund you in full.

Delivery and returns are covered by our shipping options and return policy, which are part of these terms.

Candles are an open flame and deserve respect. When you burn one of ours, please follow basic candle safety:

You’re responsible for using our candles safely and following the guidance on the label. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Melisa Home isn’t liable for damage or injury that results from misuse or from not following these instructions.

The Melisa Home name, logo, photography, and written content are ours. Please don’t copy or reuse them without our permission.

We pour our products with care, but to the extent permitted by law our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer protection law gives you and that can’t be waived — including, for customers in Canada, any rights under the consumer protection legislation of your province. Some places don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be handled by the courts of Sacramento County, California. If something goes wrong, please email us first — we’re a small studio and we resolve almost everything with a conversation.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with the date above, is the one that applies.
